Spring has definitely arrived and some of our members have been fortunate to golf at their clubs for the past few weeks and others are happy to see their courses opening this week or next.
Either way, we are back to playing the sport we all enjoy and seeing our golf friends once again.
Our first meeting and field day will be June 4/5 at the Riverside Country Club.
On the evening of June 4th we will meet and then enjoy dinner together.
On June 5th we will golf in the morning followed by lunch and prizes.
There have been a few changes to the Riverside course during the offseason which I think you will enjoy.
Leslye will be sending out the meeting and field day information in the next few days.
Our Fall AGM and field day will on September 24/25 at the Riverside Country Club.
Our National Tournament this year will be held at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario, September 5-9.
Last year’s tournament at Mont Tremblant was a special event and extremely well attended by over 170 members.
Those of us that attended enjoyed the golf, the beautiful setting, and spending time with old and new CWSGA members.
The popularity of last year’s event leads me to believe that many members may want to attend this year’s tournament.
This year’s tournament at Deerhurst has a capacity of 140 attendees.
You will be receiving the National Tournament registration information later this month and the tournament registration will open on June 2nd.
If you are interested in attending, it would be wise to register very early to avoid missing out.
If you are interested in attending but don’t want to travel alone or pay for a single room, please contact me and we will do our best to help you join up with some else.
As always, I look forward to seeing many of you at our Field Day in early June.
